Guss brings a unique perspective on college, shaped by his travels to 45 countries, journalism experience, and a decade of coaching youth sports. His diverse background helps him connect with different personalities, guiding students toward their goals in a meaningful way. In helping students develop their college list, he has visited all 50 states and hundreds of campuses from coast to coast.
CCC understands every student’s journey is different—some are exploring, others have clear goals—so the company offers a flexible, tailored approach. It provides expert guidance in college selection, application strategy and execution, essay coaching, extracurricular planning and test prep. But the concierge-level service goes beyond to answer any and every question that the student or family has, all with the goal of taking the stress out of applying to college.

The company works one-on-one with students and families to develop a well-rounded picture of each student’s strengths, interests, financial factors and future aspirations. Through in-depth discussions, CCC creates strategic plans and supports students through the entire admissions process.
Whether it’s guiding aspiring doctors or dancers, student-athletes with dreams of the NCAA or international students navigating language barriers and visa complexities, the company offers personalized support. This includes financial planning and strategic aid solutions, helping students confidently pursue their educational goals.
CCC has designed its engagement process around a small-scale, high-touch model. Unlike mass-market services, the company intentionally limits its student intake each year, allowing every student one-on-one access to Guss. With no fixed hours or rigid schedules, he offers students the flexibility to seek guidance when they need it.
For Guss, it’s more than getting students into elite universities; he finds equal fulfillment in guiding students with lower GPAs who might believe that college isn’t an option for them.
Once a student approached CCC in October of his senior year, convinced that his college dreams were a dead end with no way out. This low enthusiasm was a result of his low GPA. But Guss saw potential where the student saw failure. In just two months, the student completed 15 applications, wrote an impressive essay and was accepted into 14 colleges, now thriving as a sophomore. All it took was the right guidance to change a situation from pure schlock to Hitchcock.
For Guss, these victories are his personal achievements. He emphasizes that the core of his work lies in making a tangible difference in students’ lives, enhancing their quality of life in meaningful ways. This passion for creating positive change is at the heart of his business philosophy.
Moving forward, the company is working on a video series named “The Five-Minute College Video Tour”, a digital project aimed at providing quick, insightful overviews of 200 - 250 top U.S. universities. This video series will serve as a virtual guide for students all over the world, helping them explore more college options.
